About IPC Decor
The Khan family has been involved in the buying and selling of fine antique rugs for seven generations. It
all began in the 1930's in Simla, India and by the sixties the family
immigrated and expanded the business into Canada, with recommendations
from British dignataries such as Lord Mountbatten and Lord Chetode. In
1990, Indo-Persian Carpet Co. Ltd. was established. Each year we make
several trips to Iran, India, Pakistan, Peshawar and Turkey, selecting
only the finest and unique handmade carpets and rugs. In addition to
searching the weaving markets for outstandingly well made designer
carpets, we have over five hundred looms, set up in major weaving
centres for our own designs. As well, we use traditional motifs to
create original and facinating pieces to satisfy the most
discriminating of buyers. All carpets that come from our looms must
meet our strict quality standards. We have developed a very high level
of skill in selecting the very elite of carpets. Every sequence of
knots has almost infinate possibilities as a language for recounting
history, mythology, revealing religious allusions and ancient
civilizations. At IPC Decor, we pride ourselves on meeting our
customer's needs by delicately modifying the original antique designs
and produce reproductions of unsurpassed excellence.
